Andrew Wallbridge

Leadership and management development

I have worked with leaders and senior teams across the globe, delivering development work in complex, high-pressure environments. My experience spans large multinationals, regulated organisations, and leadership teams operating at scale, where judgement, trust and clarity matter more than process.

My client experience includes organisations such as Google, Microsoft, Unilever, Capital One, UBS, AstraZeneca, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, Boeing, Cisco, GE Healthcare, Lloyds Banking Group, Whitbread and Warner Bros, alongside many others.

I am a leadership and senior team development specialist with over 30 years’ experience working with organisations that are often focused on the wrong question. When senior leaders ask how they can make their people perform better, the issue is rarely performance. The more useful question is how to create the conditions where people want to perform better. The question, how do leaders create the conditions for commitment rather than compliance, sit at the centre of my work.

My work is facilitative rather than instructional. I do not believe people can be taught leadership but can learn. The most effective teacher is experience, and through facilitation, I create and run experiences that aspiring leaders draw upon as they develop themselves. Through facilitation, I create experiences, conversations and stories that leaders draw on as they develop themselves and the people around them.

How I work
I help leaders understand the impact they actually have on others, create clarity without relying on control, build commitment rather than compliance, and lead under pressure without defaulting to habit.

I started my working life as a chef. Under pressure, communication matters. When people do not speak clearly, think clearly and take responsibility for their role, things unravel quickly.

I am also the author of Leader’s Labyrinth, a leadership fable exploring what it really means to lead when authority, certainty and control are no longer enough.

His guidance was instrumental in helping me identify and embrace my core values: freedom, economic stability, self-respect, loyalty, and achievement.

With compassionate insight, he supported me to build relevant tools and advice to fostering stronger and more meaningful connections.

His Emotional Intelligence course was transformative, equipping me with practical tools and a deeper understanding of myself. Making the learning process truly empowering.

I feel more aligned with my true self, confident in my path, and ready to face challenges with integrity and grace.

Thank you Andrew

I had the pleasure of working with Andrew and am super grateful for the time I had with him.

For months I was struggling to figure out what makes me; ME and how to use that in my business. After talking to Andrew I gained so much clarity and can honestly say I finally have the focus I was looking for. He is a great listener and get’s to the point so quickly, which makes it lovely to work with him.

Andrew has a gift for listening to what the customer wants and matching that with what they need in order to achieve tangible outcomes. His style of working with a team is engaging and thoughtful. His training delivery style is inspiring and comes from a deep knowledge base and the latest thinking in leadership and people development as well as drawing from his own experience.

Andrew has a natural gift for engaging with people. I engaged him to help create and maintain a customer centric culture.

I would work with Andrew again without hesitation and would recommend him unreservedly to anyone planning to make a step change in their business.

I am not clever with words.
I don’t always know how to express praise in a way that fully honours the person that I am referring to. I wouldn’t know how to start defining professionalism, especially when it is crossed with a very deep understanding of the subject matter. But I do know it when I see it.
Andrew Walbridge is all of that, and then some. I’ve worked with him at TSW over the last two years, and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I was in Newcastle earlier this week, where I had to follow in his footsteps. He’d done some work previously for the client. Well, I can tell you; I was lucky enough to hear all the praise that the people he’d worked with, had for him. I could’ve sworn that the man walks on water 😊
No heirs, no graces; just a dependable guy and a pleasure to work with.

I have worked on several teambuild/motivational initiatives with Andrew, and specifically asked him to assist me when restructuring my organisation. This was a complete success, he brings everyone on board and kept us honest with our objective. His enthusiasm and inspiration was incredible and key to the success of this. In addition Andrew is personable, genuine, honest and real.

I have had the pleasure of being trained by Andrew for a personal values programme.
He has many years of experience at successfully delivering corporate training internationally. Andrew offers support whenever he can and he is passionate about his work. What I particularly remember were our intriguing conversations about the latest research on learning and the brain and I enjoy Andrew’s relaxed and very transparent, genuine attitude inside and outside the training room.

During the course of our relationship, which dates back to 2011, I have always found Andrew brings new and challenging insights to our work in leadership. His delivery style holds a healthy tension between inspiration and provocation, resulting in delegates dreaming of challenges ahead and questioning the previously unchallenged.
